ES cell technology services

Our services result in the generation of mice carrying a disrupted or mutated specific genetic locus. Since 2004 more than 20 projects have been completed successfully.

The whole process consists of gene targeting in embryonic stem (ES) cells, using a targeting construct. Targeted ES cells are then injected into blastocysts to produce chimeras. Breeding of chimeras result in the detection of germline transmitting chimeras and the generation of the mutated founder line.
